Documentation and 2D drawings
From the first sketch to the final production basis, I make sure all technical details are correctly documented. I prepare complete 2D drawings, define tolerances, and deliver both 3D and 2D files ready for production and internal use in your company.
What does technical documentation include in product development?
Technical documentation in product development includes working drawings, 2D documentation with defined tolerances, part lists, and complete 3D and 2D files.
Production basis
I prepare a complete production package that gathers all necessary technical documents for manufacturing. This includes working drawings, 3D CAD files, tolerances, and material specifications – so all parties, from your internal teams to external suppliers, can work from a clear and consistent foundation.
A well-prepared production package minimizes errors, waste, and misunderstandings throughout the manufacturing process.
Tolerance setting and technical requirements
Correct tolerance setting is crucial for smooth production and assembly. I define tolerances and technical requirements based on function, materials, and production methods – so parts fit together without the need for post-processing.
With a carefully considered tolerance strategy, you achieve better quality, lower production costs, and fewer errors during assembly.
2D working drawings including revision
I create detailed 2D working drawings where all dimensions, tolerances, and critical technical details are clearly visible. Each drawing is version-controlled and updated after changes, making it easy for you to follow the product’s development. These 2D drawings ensure that everyone in your production chain – from toolmakers to assemblers – has access to accurate, up-to-date data that supports efficient manufacturing.
Measuring and 3D CAD modeling
I offer precise measurement of existing physical components – such as frames, brackets, or plastic parts. Based on these measurements, I build a full 3D CAD model that you can use for further development, documentation, or production. Measurement and 3D modeling are ideal when original documentation is missing, or when existing products need adaptation or redesign.
