Technical product development for the Pavilion chair
In the project, I have contributed with technical sparring and development within a range of areas - including engineering, CAD modeling in SolidWorks, and construction technical consulting.
My work included, among other things, the development of an efficient and discreet assembly method for the backrest, where there was a need for a solution that could be integrated into the chair's lightweight and curved design without compromising on strength or production friendliness. Through detailed 3D modeling and iterative testing, a solution was developed that could be implemented stably in serial production.
Technical Consultation for &Tradition
I have also provided technical support on the construction of the frame and backrest, with a focus on the assembly principle of the backrest. This involved working to optimize both production processes and ease of assembly, while maintaining the visual simplicity of the design.
Over a longer period, I have been involved as a technical sparring partner as the product was further developed and adapted to different variations. This has included ongoing support for production maturity and evaluation of technical adjustments across materials and production methods.
