A Universe of Timeless Icons and Bold New Classics

GUBI operates at the intersection of nostalgia and innovation. The company is especially renowned for reviving forgotten or underrated design gems from the 20th century – created by pioneers such as Pierre Paulin, Greta M. Grossman, Marcel Gascoin, and GamFratesi. With great respect for the original forms and functions, GUBI brings these works back into the spotlight, often updated with modern materials and production techniques.

One of the most iconic relaunches is the Bestlite lamp series by Robert Dudley Best – a timeless classic that has been in continuous production since 1930 and still stands as a symbol of functionalist elegance.

Collaborations with Global Designers. In addition to reintroducing classics, GUBI collaborates with a number of influential contemporary designers and architects. Names such as GamFratesi, Space Copenhagen, Bill Curry, OEO Studio, and Komplot Design have made significant contributions to GUBI’s portfolio of lighting, furniture, and interior objects.

These partnerships have brought to life modern design icons such as the Beetle Chair, Stay Sofa, Gravity Lamp, and Multi-Lite – collections that combine functionality with poetic form and a strong sense of materiality.
