CAD Modeling and Engineering of Console Desk
In my work on the Console Desk for Karakter Copenhagen, I have been responsible for the technical development of the table's construction. Through 3D CAD modeling, the form and function of the table were translated into precise digital models, where all components and joints were carefully considered with a focus on stability, aesthetics, and manufacturability.
Various assembly methods were developed and tested - including hidden fittings, dovetail and screw joints - which both supported the minimalist design and made the furniture easy to assemble without compromising on strength and durability. The model formed the basis for both visual evaluation and technical validation of the solutions, ensuring a well-developed and feasible product design.
Production basis and documentation
As part of the project, I prepared a complete production basis in the form of technical documentation and 2D drawings. Each individual part and assembly was documented with objectives, tolerances, and material specifications, so that the table could be manufactured precisely according to the design's intentions. The documentation was adapted to industrial production requirements and ensured a smooth transition from development to manufacturing.
